Anthologies

Over the last couple of summers, I've had the great pleasure of working with several groups of wonderfully talented authors.
It has been an amazing experience working with them.

Without further ado, please meet the anthologies.

Nine Christmas Romance Short Stories--everything from sweet to spicy to downright steamy!

A Holiday Haze by Sutton Shields: Holiday addict Sally Pinzer has only one wish: To be in love during Christmastime. Unfortunately, Sally has long suffered from a 'loveless for the holidays' curse, making her the butt of everyone's holiday jokes...until now. Sally finally has a boyfriend, but things are not as jolly as they seem. This holiday season, Sally must open her eyes to what's real, for if she doesn't, she may miss a bit of Christmas magic that has been right under her nose all along.

P.S. A certain Aussie, naughty, sorta-angel from The Merworld Water Wars series makes a Christmastime appearance.

From the beginning of time, the mysteries of the night sky have captivated humanity. Our ancestors foretold the future through the phases of the moon, worshiped the countless stars, and feared the comets that streaked across the sky before disappearing back into darkness.

Now, ten YA authors have come together to explore the impact the appearance of a comet can have on a life, a relationship… or an entire world.

Comet Cotillion (A Celestial Mini-Wave)’ by Sutton Shields. Marina Valentine spends her days in The Helena Hambourg House for Maladies, where each hour presents a new fight for survival. Life in an institution isn’t exactly ideal, but for Marina, nothing could be more dangerous than being caught in the middle of a vicious scheme cooked up by the evil Head Hoodooess, Madame Helena. Now, Marina and her quirky friends must find a way to escape before everything that makes them special is taken away forever.

Comet Cotillion’ is a short, fun-filled prequel to the events occurring in The Merworld Water Wars series.

Whether they are spirits of the departed or figments of an overactive imagination, ghosts are a staple in fiction. Storytellers have portrayed ghosts as scary, friendly, or annoying across many genres. Now, eight authors offer their own interpretations of ghosts through a collection of short stories that will appeal to fans of horror, fantasy, or young adult fiction.

“Farewell Ohana (A Ghostly Mini-Wave)” by Sutton Shields - Maile Lahela is under attack by someone in the Kauai Camp for the Curiously Creepy. When she awakens one morning unable to see, her peculiar, yet loyal friends decide it’s time to escape the institution—something that’s never been done. But before they can leave, Maile has a mission of her own…one that could cost them their lives.

Farewell Ohana is a short, fun-filled, emotional prequel to the events occurring in Overfalls, Wave Two of The Merworld Water Wars series by Sutton Shields.

Somewhere South of Normal is a collection of stories and poetry from False Key, the island of dreams and nightmares, shifters and mermaids. Shed the humdrum mainland routine and escape into our adult fantasy. Arrive by rust bucket, summer squall, or overnight coach. You can raise a glass with locals masquerading as humans, or slip into extravagant costume for our parade. Until we find you appetizing. We do love our visitors. Disclaimer: This anthology is intended for Mature Audiences. Contains violence, adult language, and sexual content. Fantasy, Horror, Supernatural Romance and Poetry.

Oversplash (A Mini-Wave) by Sutton Shields: When the snobby white-wings send Jex—sexy, Aussie, sorta-angel—on an emergency mission to the mysteriously weird island of False Key to deal with a rogue weather mermaid, he finds more danger and enough naughtiness to satisfy even his rebellious cravings.

Oversplash is a short, fun-filled story taking place during the Christmas break of Overfalls, Wave Two in The Merworld Water Wars series.

Overbite-Me (A Mini-Wave) by Sutton Shields: Ash, General of the clandestine Splashzers Puncture Patrol, has to scour False Key for an escaped Splashzer—a.k.a. mer-zombie—before it feeds on an islander or awakens zombies on the mainland. For Ash, trust will be broken, lives will be in peril and her overly-guarded heart will dare to awaken when a certain irresistibly naughty angel shows up.

Overbite-Me is a short, wacky story taking place during the Christmas break of Overfalls, Wave Two in The Merworld Water Wars series.

Somewhere South of Sane is the second volume of a collection of stories and poetry from False Key, the island of dreams and nightmares, shifters and mermaids. Disclaimer: This anthology is intended for Mature Audiences. Contains violence, adult language, and sexual content. Fantasy, Horror, Supernatural Romance and Poetry.

Over It (A Mini-Wave) by Sutton Shields: Following the events of Oversplash & Overbite-Me, Jex, Ash, Moraine, & Cole must race against the clock to resurrect an island landmark before some sketchy local politicos make them pay...with their lives. And for Jex and Ash, things are about to get complicated.

Over It is a short, wacky story taking place during the Christmas break of Overfalls, Wave Two in The Merworld Water Wars series.
